| Description: | Spring Bass-Fest is a two-day non- residential workshop for bassists of all ages and abilities and is a 'refresher' for bassists who attended in 2013 and a 'taster' for anyone thinking of attending Bass-Fest 2014. The weekend will include technique sessions, massed bass orchestra, bass guitar and the opportunity to study and perform new and exciting repertoire in a friendly. welcoming, informal and encouraging environment. The focus is on enjoying your bass playing, learning new skills, playing new repertoire, and meeting fellow bassists of all ages and abilities. One highlight will be an informal concert to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the birth of Frantisek Posta (1919-1991), the revered Principal Double Bass of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra for more than 40 years.
