Description: Wabass Workshop, in its fifth year, allows students of all levels to work closely with some of the top performing bass players in the United States at the University of Delaware Community Music School. The 2015 Workshop faculty is Hal Robinson, Principal Bassist of the Philadelphia Orchestra and Curtis Institute of Music professor and Nicholas Walker, Ithaca College professor and Domaine Forget faculty member. ​ Wabass Workshop features master classes and technique classes with titans of the double bass, and private instruction from top young professionals at the University of Delaware's state of the art Roselle Center for the Arts. Participants are immersed in all-day-long activities spanning the entire range of double bass playing, music, and more. There are no auditions required, although applicants for Wabass who submit a video are automatically considered for Wabass Workshop, and will receive details about it.
