| Description: | The 1st Templecombe International Double Bass Festival will feature workshops, masterclasses, talks, discussions and concerts in the beautiful rural Somerset village of Templecombe. Bassists of all ages and abilities are welcome to take part and there will be many performance opportunities and a wealth of music to be performed and studied. The weekend will include many premieres and performances of wonderful solo repertoire alongside works for massed basses. Visit the beautiful and relaxed county of Somerset for a weekend of great bass playing and concerts.Bernard Salles (France) will be a Featured Composer, as will Tony Osborne (UK) who is also be the Composer-in-Residence. Performers and guests include David Heyes (Director), David Daly, Ben Groenevelt, Corrado Canonici and Martin Penning. |
