Elizabeth Clawson is a bassist, arts administrator, and educator from Chicago, IL, whose passion is enabling people to create positive and meaningful interactions with music. After earning a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education with a certificate in Entrepreneurship from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, where she studied under Richard Davis, she completed a master’s in Performance from the University of Arizona under the instruction of Philip Alejo. While in Arizona, Elizabeth performed with the Tucson Symphony Orchestra, the U of A graduate string quartet, taught beginning string instruction to students in the UA String Project, and served as Associate Instructor of Bass for Cochise College in Sierra Vista, AZ. Currently,Elizabeth lives in Chicago, where she teaches privately, performs in a variety
of settings, and works as an executive administrator for the Chinese Fine Arts
Society. Additionally, she enjoys volunteering with the Richard Davis
Foundation for Young Bassists, and the ISB. This will be her 5th ISB
convention in a row, and she looks forward to sharing it with you!
