Bassist and composer Susan Cahill has appeared in recital, chamber, concerto and orchestral performances throughout the US, South America and Europe. She is a member of the Colorado Symphony and is a frequent guest with the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra as well as many other notable chamber and orchestral ensembles. Her many solo performances have earned outstanding reviews, and her festival performances of the solo and chamber bass repertoire are seen widely on youtube.
A proponent of diverse musical styles, Susan has appeared and recorded with the american roots band The Boulder Acoustic Society and is a founding member of the award winning salon orchestra Grande Orquesta Navarre. She has been a member of the acclaimed tango ensemble Extasis since 2006. As a composer her works have been featured on recordings and concerts with Festival Mozaic, the Colorado College Summer Music Festival, and the University of Denver, where she is on faculty.
