Green, has served as Principal Bassist of the Cincinnati Symphony for 28 years
and as former Executive Director of the International Society of Bassists.
Green is author of three books dealing with the philosophy of music, the mind,
body and spirit: The Inner Game of Music
The Mastery of Music, Ten Pathways to True Artistry and Bringing Music to Life! . Green has also written 3 bass method books: The Fundamentals of Double Bass Playing, Advanced Techniques of Double
Bass Playing and The Popular Bass method
.  In addition to many solo and YouTube recordings,  Green has created three new multimedia productions on themes of his inspirational approach to music making.

Green recently relocated to Cincinnati from California where he worked for the San Francisco Symphony Education Department, taught at the University of California Santa Cruz and was the founder/director of the Golden Gate Bass Camp. Green is currently teaching at The Ohio State University as well as working in two Cincinnati public schools coaching the bass players, orchestras and concert bands. Green continues to tour in the USA and internationally at conferences, university residencies as a clinician, soloist, educator and public speaker.
